Are You With Me...

Nach über einer Woche dachte ich mal, es wäre wieder Zeit.

Vor allem, da ich mit einer musikalischen Empfehlung aufzuwarten habe. Diese heißt dieses Mal: Kelly Jones.
Wem der Name jetzt gerade bekannt vorkommt, ist schon mal nicht schlecht, wer ihn dann noch mit den 'Stereophonics' in Verbindung bringt ist ziemlich spitze. Denn als die dabei waren ihr neues Album aufzunehmen, hat Kelly "mal so nebenbei" ein paar mehr Songs geschrieben, damit es noch für eine Solo-Platte reicht. Zur näheren Erläuterung ein kleiner Auszug aus dem letzten Diary Eintrag:

"In between takes of making the new album I began recording some new songs with just an electric guitar. It began as something very off the cuff then within a couple of days, in the early hours, an album consisting of ten songs was finished. Every song is a girl's name and the album is gonna be called 'Only The Names Have Been Changed.'

It's pretty dark, filmic, story based, very melloe and in no means a reflection on the new Stereophonics album. It's sparse, some songs with string arrangements and the voice is way up front in the mix.

The record will be online under my name from Monday 29th January followed by a very limited hard copy release in March. Not enough copies for charts or reviews, it's purely being released as spontaneously as it was recorded.

I've never wanted to do a solo record or go solo, this is far from a vanity project. I just wanted to do something that would break the cycle of a Stereophonics record and do something that had nothing to do with commercial success, radio playlists, marketing etc etc. Something purely about expressing music and releasing it as quickly as its made… as apposed to waiting a year as usual."´

Fragt sich nur, wie ich vorgehe. Ich persönlich habe lieber 'ne CD im Regal stehen, aber das dauert noch so lange. Richtig cool wäre, würde er nur für ein Konzert nach Deutschland kommen. Ich wüsste ja, wer in der ersten Reihe steht. Mal sehen. Freu mich aber schon mehr zu hören.

Am Freitag gab es ja Zeugnisse und ich bin recht begeistert von mir. Ohne angeben zu wollen, werfe ich mal die Zahl "1,4" in den Raum *coughs*.

Abends habe ich mich noch mit Laura und Maxi getroffen und das war ... witzig?! Ich war nur etwas spät zu Hause und heute Morgen musste ich zum Volleyball, danach sind wir mit der Mannschaft essen gegangen. Puh, war ich müde.

Morgen treffe ich mich noch mit Laura und Vera und wir kochen abends. Wird sicher auch gut. Montag gehe ich arbeiten und kann Berit nicht vom Flughafen abholen. Top.
Dienstag ist ja schon wieder Schule und es sind nicht einmal mehr zwei Wochen bis zu 'Snow Patrol'. Juchu!!!

Also, es ist alles wie immer, in bester Ordnung. Jesse hat auch gebloggt. Wenn das mal nichts ist. Ich geh jetzt Fernsehen gucken.
